A little help with the pre-release
Hi,
I've not posted this in the GWEN section as its kinda a general thing too. I really just want confirmation that i've cocked up. I ordered the pre-release last night, without thinking about my contact email address. This is an email that's been left to rot for the last 2 years and is (as far as i know) no longer active. Based on this, i'm guessing that i've lost out on the pre-release code and there's not much i can do about it. I've got all the bonus items without problem, but without the email access, i have no way of obtaining the code. I will have to change my contact email tonight to prevent similar acts of stupidity at a later date. Just looking for confirmation that i've lost out really |

You shouldn't need the code, because it is automatically applied to your account when you ordered it via the ingame store. The key which is emailed to you is only for record purposes - you would only need it if anything goes horribly wrong. And for that matter you can get the order id from your PlayNC account.

AFAIK, you only get the order number after you make the purchase in the store on the confirmation dialogue, and on the email they send you afterward.
If you didn't get it on either one, I think you're screwed.

No, I looked in my PlayNC account and the order number is listed there, under the billing summary page (Item "Guild Wars: Eye of the North™ Prerelease Bonus Pack [ingame code purchase]")

If you were logged in on Guild Wars and used the Online Store, then I would strongly suspect that the code has been applied to your account and that you have not lost out.
You can check what has been applied to your account from the options screen at the Guild Wars login. Have a look for Manage Account (or something like that) and then choose the option for access codes. Even simpler though, you could just log right into the game and do a /bonus and see if the new weapons appear on your character. |

Thanks for the replies so far. I'll take a look at the manager account bit tonight.
@ hengis, i have the bonus items, my concern was the actual pre release key for the weekend and whether that would be emailed to me (on a dead email account). hopefully its there on the manage account bit |
